PURPOSE:To safely cool by ventilation all windings of a rotary electric machine by collecting the highest temperature signal of the windings, calculating the air flow rate suitable for the temperature, and controlling a blower on the basis of the calculation. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detector 8 is mounted on a stator winding 5 and a rotor winding 7. A temperature signal from a terminal 9 is input to an OR element 13, the highest temperature signal of the windings is selected, a calculator 14 calculates the air flow rate necessary for the temperature and a blower rotating speed, and a variable voltage variable frequency power source 16 is operated by the voltage and the frequency for operating the blower by the rotating speed. Thus, a blower drive motor 18 is driven at the rotating speed suitable for the temperature of the winding. |
