The manufacture of blind slats (1) serving as blind components has proved difficult within the limits of mass production since, because of the slats being relatively thin and curved in cross-section, there is a danger of damage being caused directly by the punching of an edge recess (2), of a slot (4) and also by the moulding of a bent section (3). The bent section (3), the slot (4) and also the edge recess (2) serve to guide cords whereby the blind can be raised or the slats turned. An apparatus according to the invention for manufacturing blind slats is characterised by, in each case, a press component (17) subjected to spring tension, a bending device (10) and punching elements (8, 9) which cooperate with a die (7) to the extent that during the manufacturing process the slat (1) is forced by the press component (17) against the die (7), that is before the bending and punching processes are initiated by the mentioned bending and punching tools. An apparatus suitable for the damage-free mass production of blind slats is obtained in this way. <IMAGE> |
