PURPOSE:To prevent damage to yarn by arranging a plurality of bobbin holders in a line, changing over supplied yarns with a traversing device moving in parallel with holder shaft, and thereby lessening bend of the system during changing-over of yarn. CONSTITUTION:When a bobbin holder 3 is fully wound, a clutch brake 36 stops the traversing motion, and a solenoid valve is switched to allow the piston 26a of an air cylinder to move a traversing device 20 to the left following a guide bar 24 so as to attain the position mating with an empty bobbin 6' on the other bobbin holder 3'. At this time, the holder 3' is accelerated to a speed due to step of winding start, and the yarn a moves so as to mate with said empty bobbin 6' while being held by a yarn guide 23, and when yarn changeover is made and movement of the traversing device 20 is completed, a traverse cam roller 21 starts the traversing motion of the yarn a followed by pulse counting and winding operation. This changing-over while yarn is held at the yarn guide, in this manner, should lessen bend of the yarn to ensure that even a thin yarn is processed without risk of being cut. |
