摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the detecting sensitivity up to the level of a shot noise by detecting the amplitude of a vibration excited by the force of Coriolis by an optically detecting means utilizing optical elasticity. CONSTITUTION:After a light beam radiated from a laser diode 31 is narrowed by a lens 32, it makes incident on one end of an optical elastic guide path 10, and comes out of the other end through the path 10. The deflected surface of the coming-out light beam is rotated on the basis of the vibration excited by the force of Corilois in the optical elastic guide path 10, and the rotation of the deflected surface is detected by a detector 33 or a locked-in amplifier 36. Namely the luminous energy of the coming-out light beam passing through the photodetector 33 increases and decreases in accordance with the rotation of the deflected surface, and said increase and decrease are detected by a photodetecting diode 34. An electrical signal at the magnitude corresponding to the photodetecting amount is outputted from the diode 34, and detected in the locked-in amplifier 36 through a pre-amplifier 35 in synchronizing with the output of an oscillator 21.</p>
