PURPOSE:To obtain a system treating a source program to which a comment of free type is added without depending on a language specification of the source program by adding a position display of a comment to a record and managing the comment. CONSTITUTION:In order to register a source program, an ED7, a UTL8 are used. In the ED7, the UTL8, the source program DMR 2 is used and the source program is registered in the LIB3. By using a CMR1, a free type comment can be added. In the ED7, the UTL8, the source program and the comment is informed to a DMR 2, and in the DMR 2, the comment and the source program are inputted, and then, automatically, the CMR1 is activated. In the CMR1, the source program is registered. In the CMR1, receiving the indication of a performance of the comment, a control header is added to a data record and the source program is registered in the LIB 3.
