摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a stable recording material having excellent coloration efficiency by forming WO3 or MoO3 by vapor deposition in range of 1X10<-4>-3X10<-2> Pa vacuum degree. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of tungsten oxide or molybdenum oxide is formed by vacuum deposition in a range of 1X10<-4>-3X10<-2> Pa vacuum degree. The part irradiated with light colors blue (photochromism) when the light having the energy of the band gap of tungstem oxide (WO3) or molybdenum oxide (MoO3) or above is irradiated to the WO3 layer or MoO3 layer in a colorless state. The colored state does not fade for a long period unless the layer is subjected thermally, electrolytically or chemically reverse reaction. The optical recording is executed by utilizing such color change of WEO3 or MoO3 by the light irradiation.
