PURPOSE:To enable fine adjusting such as the setting load of leaf valve in hydraulic shock absorber by utilizing differential screw structure employing two nuts having different pitch. CONSTITUTION:An adjusting rod 23 is inserted through the center of valve case 20 and provided with an operating section 23a projecting through lower cap to the outside. While nuts 24, 25 having different pitch are screwed to said rod 23 at the tip and the intermediate section while holding the valve case 20 between them and a leaf valve 22 for regulating the setting load is arranged between the nut 25 and the valve case 20. Said nuts 24, 25 are restricted of rotation to perform fine adjusting through relative motion of nuts 24, 25 corresponding with the rotation of the operating section 23a.
