PURPOSE:To measure a low resistance with a simple constitution and to display the measured value in a digital form by A/D-converting both end voltages of a subject to be measured and a reference resistance, both of which are connected serially, with said voltages as input and reference voltages. CONSTITUTION:The subject to be measured 1 and the reference resistance 2 are connected serially, and at both ends of said connected part a DC power source 3 is connected. Then both end voltages of the subject to be measured 1, which arise when a current is flowed to the subject to be measured 1 and the reference resistance 2 from the power source 3, is amplified 4 and set to the input voltage of an A/D converter 6. Next the both end voltages of the reference resistance 2 are amplified 5 to set the reference voltage of the A/D converter 6. Its digital output is in proportion to a value available from dividing the resistance value of the subject to be measured 1 by that of the reference resistance 2, and the digital value of the subject to be measured 1 is obtained from the output value and displayed 7.
