PURPOSE:To avoid the difficulty in mounting of plural rotary transformers and to attain cost-down by remarkable reduction in the rotary transformer by transmitting one of a switching signal among reproduced output signal through a rotary transformer. CONSTITUTION:A video head group (4a, 4b-4n) is arranged on a rotary drum 1 to detect a signal recorded on a wound magnetic tape. The detection signal is amplified by a reproducing amplifier group 6 corresponding to each head and outputted to a rotary transformer 10 as a consecutive signal. The rotary transformers 10, 11 are in pairs, the reproducing signal is converted into a required signal for each section by a signal processing circuit 8. When switching signals 24, 25, 26, 27 are at H level, the switch circuit 7 gives the corresponding reproduction signal to the rotary transformer 10. Switching signals 24-27 are generated by a switching signal generating circuit 23 and inputted to an edge detection circuit 29 and an initialize signal generating circuit 30.
