PURPOSE:To obtain an epoxy resin laminate which smcars only a little, by impregnating a substrate with varnish consisting of a brominated diglycidyl ether bisphenol A type epoxy resin and laminating the resulting prepregs by heating under pressure. CONSTITUTION:A brominated diglycidyl ether bisphenol A type epoxy resin having an alpha-diol group content of 10 milliequivalents/100g or below is dissolved in an org. solvent to obtain varnish. A substrate such as paper, glass cloth or nonwoven glass cloth is impregnated with the varnish and dried to obtain a prepreg. Predetermined sheets of the prepregs are laminated by heating under pressure. Epoxy resins having an epoxy equivalent of 300-1,000g/eq are preferred. An amine hardener (e.g. aliph. or arom. polyamine) for the epoxy resin is used. Examples of the org. solvents are acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, dimethylformamide, etc.
