PURPOSE:To obtain permanent magnet alloy superior in magnetic characteristic, by soln. heat treating permanent magnetic alloy having a specified compsn. composed of rare earth element, Fe, Cu, Ti, Zr, Hf and Co, then cooling, next age treating said alloy under a suitable condition. CONSTITUTION:The permanent magnet alloy having compsn. composed of 20-30wt% R (R; >=one kind among rare earth element such as Sm, Ce), 10-25% Fe, 2-10% Cu, 0.5-6% M (M; >=one kind among Ti, Zr, Hf) and the balance Co substantially is soln. heat treated, then cooled. Next, said alloy is heated to 750-900 deg.C and held thereat, then cooled to <=600 deg.C at 0.1-5.0 deg.C/min rate. The alloy is heated again and held at 650-800 deg.C, then cooled to <=400 deg.C at said rate and aging treated. By this way, the permanent magnet alloy having large max. energy product and superior magnetic characteristic is obtd. |
