<p>PURPOSE:To make a cable thin and flexible without needing m,any lines in the cable by providing the data generating part and the transferring circuit to transmit serially the position indicating information, in the internal part of the position indicating device and sending the output data with one signal line. CONSTITUTION:In a mouse 1, a data generating part 2 and a serial transferring part 8 are provided. For the data constitution, a starting bit ST is provided which displays the start of the non-synchronizing serial transmission, before the highest order bit MSB of the data 8 bit, and a parity bit P and a stop bit SP are provided which display the end of the transmission, and the signal is sent by one data line l1 by using such a non-synchronizing serial type. The data type divides the data to switch data or mouse data, for example, by a bit MSB, and the direction at the time of operating the mouse 1 is determined to be a + direction at the time of 0 and a - direction at the time of 1 by the second bit b1 from the bit MSB, and by remaining 6 bits, the mouse data of the maximum 64 counts are transmitted.</p> |
