PURPOSE:To obtain a head device which is easily assembled and suitable, specially, for floppy disks while improving the core efficiency and increasing the playback output by providing a coil part wound a coil bobbin on the surface of a lead spring at the side of a magnetic disk and shortening the magnetic path length of a core part. CONSTITUTION:This device inserts a magnetic head into a magnetic head inser tion window 8 to record and reproduce a disk 7 which is still put in a cartridge 1. A slider part 4 is formed on both surfaces of the U-shaped leaf spring 3 at the side of the disk 7, the coil part 2 wound around the coil bobbin and the core part 1 are fitted in one body, and the leaf spring 3 is rotated around a fulcrum P as shown by an arrow to attach and detach the jacket. The core height of the head core part 1 is decreased and the magnetic path length is shortened to improved the core efficiency. Further, the device is manufactured at high yield.
