A description is given of a seal arrangement for a control-disc valve which can serve, for example, as the base of a cartridge containing the control discs. Inserted into an opening in a baseplate is a continuous shaped seal which is made up of two symmetrical loops, a connecting web and a hoop and, by this means, separates three water flow openings from one another. To stabilise the two symmetrical loops, a rigid finger is inserted between them and this finger can thereby replace the two back-up rings which would otherwise be necessary. <IMAGE>
