After the vapourisation of the fuse conductor 13 between the electrical conductor bolts 6, 7 of the vacuum high-voltage fuse link 1, the switching-off arc is intended to be kept diffuse by means of a magnetic field which runs parallel to it. The axial magnetic field is intended to be connected to every flow of current through the fuse link, that is to say even to the tripping current which occurs. An excitation winding in which electrical current heat is produced and which delays the build up of the magnetic field and on which large current forces act is intended to be omitted. Relatively thin discs are intended to be used as arc electrodes. The requirements stated above are implemented by means of yoke-shaped or annular bodies 10, 11 which consist of magnetically highly permeable material and are arranged around the electrical conductor bolts 6, 7 such that regions of increasing axial extent of one body are opposite regions of reducing axial extent of the other body. These magnetic flux diversion bodies have a close short to earth with the electrode discs 8, 9 and increase their effective heat storage capability considerably, and hence also increase the disconnection capability of the fuse link 1. The simple construction of the fuse link and the prevention of current force deformation and arc erosion make its regeneration, after response, possible at a relatively low cost, which considerably increases the economy. <IMAGE>
