Owing to the printing method used, it has hitherto only been possible to apply motifs of a general kind to mirrors in an economical fashion. In order to be able to provide "portrait mirrors" with individual motifs as well, it is proposed according to the invention that the motifs originating from a photograph be photographically reproduced on a serigraphic forme and then be serigraphically applied to the rear of the glass.
