The invention relates to a distribution box for telecommunications cables, and consists essentially of the mounting webs (which are located on the baseplate (1) of the same) for connecting terminal strips (4), wire guides (5) and the like being integral, link-like plastic mouldings (3) having a plurality of rows of blind holes (6) for self-tapping mounting screws (7). Further features of the invention are that the blind holes (6) are located in webs (8) which are provided with supporting ribs (9), that the attachments (10) for fixing the plastic mouldings (3) on the baseplate (1) are offset with respect to the width centre (12) of the webs (8), and that the wire guides (5) have mounting projections (13) which are arranged offset with respect to their height centre (14). The measures according to the invention create optimum production characteristics for the mounting webs and their fixing on the baseplate, as well as a large number of different arrangement possibilities for connecting terminal strips, wire guides and the like, so that the design, positioning and number of these components can be varied to a large extent in accordance with the respective wiring requirements. <IMAGE>
