PURPOSE:To provide an amorphous alloy having a small iron loss at high frequency and superior squareness characteristics and suitable for use as a magnetic core material by blending a Co-Fe alloy with Cu, Si and B in a specified atomic ratio. CONSTITUTION:This amorphous alloy has a composition represented by a formula (Co1-a-bFeaMb)100-x-y-zCuxSiyBz [where M is one or more among Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, Mn, Ni, Ru, Rh, Pd, Os and Re, 0<=a<=0.10, 0<=b<=0.10, 0.05<=x<=3, 13<=y<=18, 5<=z<=9.5, and 20<=y+z<=28.5 (atom%)]. The amorphous alloy has a small iron loss at high frequency and superior squareness characteristics, so it is suitable for a saturable reactor for a switching power source driven at high frequency. |
