PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of an engine so better, by making the setting of a metering value of fuel possible to be done by positioning control of a piston by means of a metering servo system, while making the large flow oil required at the time of injection securable with an injection hydraulic system. CONSTITUTION:A piston 1, partitioning off hydraulic chambers 3 and 4 and an intensifier chamber 5 inside, is housed in a hydraulic cylinder 2 having feed ports P, T1 and T2, constituting a fuel injection booster pump A, and when each pressure receiving area in these hydraulic chambers 3 and 4 of the piston 1 and the intensifier chamber 5 is set down to A1, A2 and Af, these areas should be set A1>A2>Af. The intensifier chamber 5 is connected to a fuel injection valve B via the pipe line 7 connected to a fuel oil feed pump 8. And, there is provided with an electro-hydraulic driving device C having an injection hydraulic system, driving the booster pump A and operating alternately so as to set the fuel oil injection and the next time fuel oil injection quantity and a metering servo system, which device C is controlled according to each output of an engine running state detector D and a piston position detector E.
