MANUFACTURE OF FE-NI ALLOY FOR LEAD FRAME

PURPOSE:To manufacture an Fe-Ni alloy for a lead frame having >=190Hv hardness in simplified stages by cold rolling an Fe-Ni alloy material once or more at >=30% draft during the final cold rolling, slitting the resulting steel sheet having the thickness of the end product, and annealing it at >=450 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:An Fe-Ni alloy material contg. 38-45wt% Ni is cold rolled once or more at >=30% draft during the final cold rolling. The resulting steel sheet having the thickness of the end product is slit to the width of the product and annealed at >=450 deg.C to provide >=190Hv hardness to the product.
