PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of a coil in a ceiling fan, reduce the coil diameter, allow the reduction in thickness of a rotor and a stator and thereby diminish the weight and manufacturing cost of the fan by installing the second vanes to cool down a motor for rotating the vane of the ceiling fan. CONSTITUTION:On a shaft 3 into which a stator 2 is fitted, an upper casing 6 containing a rotor 5 within and a lower casing 7 are fixed in a way permitting their free rotation. Upon the upper casing 6, the vane 11 of the fan and also an outer frame 8 covering the upper and lower casing 6, 7 with some intervals are fixed. And on this outer frame 8, plural slits 9, 9 are formed while within it the second vanes 10, 10 are installed, resulting in the generation, within the frame 8, of convection current a through slits 9, 9 simultaneously with the revolution of the rotor 5.
