A hold-down device which can be placed on a blank holder, thereby planting a sheet to be edged, has an edging bevel and an edging strip and is guided, in a manner which allows it to be moved counter to the movement of the hold-down device, in an oblique guide oriented in a manner which matches this edging bevel. The blank holder can likewise be accommodated in an oblique guide running parallel to the guide of the edging bevel and be mounted on fluid-pressurised working cylinders which are connected in terms of flow to the working cylinders supporting the edging strip and from which fluid displaced during the descent of the blank holder crosses into the working cylinders on which the edging strip is mounted, the edging strip thus rising during the edging operation in a manner corresponding to the descent of the blank holder. |
