PURPOSE:To reduce the irregularity of output signals between individual apparatuses, by branching one of conductors connected between a pair of electrodes of an electrochemical cell and providing a resistor means to one branched conductor while providing a variable resistor means to the other conductor. CONSTITUTION:A pair of parallel resistors 2, 13 are connected to an electrochemical cell 1 in series and a pumping current is distributed to detect the concn. of gas as current output by an ammeter 14. The apparatus is operated in a predetermined atmosphere wherein the concn. of a component to be measured is known and the resistor 2 is individually regulated at every apparatus so that the indication of the ammeter 14 comes to the predetermined value corresponding to the predetermined atmosphere. Therefore, by adjusting the output of the cell 1 with good accuracy even if there is irregularity in the pumping current of the cell 1 at every cell, the electrochemical apparatus having constant quality can be manufactured in a mass production system. |
