PURPOSE:To prevent the penetration of the open air in a thermostatic chamber and to facilitate the control of measuring work, by inserting a measuring element impregnated with a reagent to rotate the same and opening the shutter of a sample dripping port only when a sample is dripped to the measuring element. CONSTITUTION:A measuring element 2 impregnated with a reagent is successively inserted in the insert part of a disc 8. Subsequently, the disc 8 is rotated at every one pitch and the measuring element 2 is transferred to a sample dripping part 50 to receive the dripping of a sample. At this time, a shutter 52 is closed as shown by a drawing A but opened by a drive apparatus 51 as shown by a drawing B and a sample is dripped to the measuring element 2 from a pipet P. After dripping, the shutter 52 is closed to block a thermostatic tank 11 from the open air to perform reaction at constant temp. The disc 8 is further rotated and, after a predetermined time, the measuring element 2 is transferred to a photometric part to detect optical density and the specific component in the sample such as blood is measured. Because the shutter of the sample dripping part is closed except at the time of dripping and the opening and closing thereof is automatically operated by a timer, a working program can be improved. |
