PURPOSE:To transfer a colored image obtained by an etching bleach process to a transfer material with high fidelity by bringing a photographic material colored with a water-soluble dye before or after the etching bleach process into contact with the transfer material by using an acid soln. as a medium. CONSTITUTION:The photographic material colored with a water-soluble dye before or after the etching bleach process is brought into contact with the transfer material by using an acidic soln., preferably, having a pH of <=5, especially, <=4.5, prepared by using an acid, such as acetic acid, as a medium to transfer the dye image. When the photographic material is dyed and, when needed, washed with water and dried, it is preferred to use an aq. acid soln. (transfer soln.) different from said acidic dye soln. |
