PURPOSE:To provide a printing method imparting good printing quality, by providing an earth electrode to the conductive light blocking layer side of a printing medium and arranging a high voltage electrode to the back surface of a body to be printed to charge the same while closely adhering the printing medium and the body to be printed and further adding mechanical pressure to both of them. CONSTITUTION:Voltage is applied to the earth roller 108 and recording needle 106 contacted with the conductive light blocking layer 102 of a printing medium to destruct the conductive light blocking layer (to form a perforated mask to the light blocking layer). Next, the printing medium 101 and a body 104 to be printed are superposed and an earth electrode 112 and a high voltage electrode 109 opposed to the back surface of the body to be printed are provided to the conductive light blocking layer side to charge both electrodes by applying high voltage thereto. The printing medium 101 and the body to be printed are closely contacted by this charge. Subsequently, heat rays are allowed to irradiate the printing medium from the side of the conductive light blocking layer 102 by a heat ray source 105. The rays passed through the perforations of the light blocking layer of the heat rays melt a thermoplastic ink layer 103 to transfer ink to the body 104 to be printed. |
