PURPOSE:To obtain stable magnetic properties of an Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet which is heretofore difficult in manufacture in an industrial level due to vigorous oxidation by specifying oxygen content in the alloy. CONSTITUTION:Oxygen content in an R-B-M alloy is set to 0.1-1.2wt%. Less than 0.1wt% of the oxygen content is difficult in an industry, not economic, its effect is less, and when the content exceeds 1.2wt%, the magnetic property deterioration of the Fe-B-R permanent magnet becomes remarkable. If the adding element M exceeds the prescribed content, preferable magnetic property cannot be obtained. If R is less than 8%, sufficient Hc cannot be obtained, and if exceeds 30%, it is feasible to burn to become difficult in handling in an industry. If the B contains less than 2%, sufficient Hc cannot be obtained, and if exceeds 28%, sufficient Br cannot be obtained. |
