<p>PURPOSE:To collect extremely fine suspended dust and bacteria with high effi ciency and to prevent clogging, by applying a conductive substance to the separa tor of a HEPA filter to use the same as an electrode separator. CONSTITUTION:Each of separators formed by applying a powdery conductive substance to both surfaces of an aluminum plate, paperboard or a plastic plate and both of them are used as electrode separators 3, 6. All of the inlet side electrode separators 3 are connected to conductors 4 to be made positive while all of outlet side electrode separators 6 are connected by conductors to be made negative and DC voltage is applied between both electrode separators 3, 6 from an external DC power source through a terminal 7 to collect fine particles passing through this filter. Because the greater part of particles entering the filter are adhered to the electrode separators 3, 6, the clogging of a filter material 2 is prevented.</p> |
