PURPOSE:To provide a rubber-cord composite having improved adhesivity of rubber and cord and heat-aging resistance of the rubber, by coating a rubber- reinforcing cord composed of steel cord with a specific rubber composition. CONSTITUTION:The objective rubber-cord composite is produced by compounding (A) 100pts.(wt.) of a rubber consisting of one or more kinds of natural rubber, polyisoprene rubber, styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber or polybutadiene rubber with (B) 0.5-20pts., preferably 0.5-10pts. of zinc sulfide, (C) 0.1-30pts., preferably 4-7pts. of zinc white, and (D) 30-90pts. of reinforcing carbon black, wherein the weight ratio of B/C is 0.1-5.0, preferably 0.2-0.3 and covering a reinforcing cord composed of steel cord with the obtained rubber composition.
