PURPOSE:To attain recording with high density by forming >=3 kinds of states of stable reflectance or transmittivity to a recording film in response to the light irradiation condition so as to apply recording. CONSTITUTION:An InSb alloy thin film is formed on a PMMA substrate by the vacuum deposition method. The alloy thin film of InSb is formed by turning the PMMA substrate in a vacuum vapor deposition chamber, vapor-depositing In and Sb at the same time and depositing the alloy thin film on the substrate so that the atom ratio of In to Sb is 2:3, applying spin coating to an ultraviolet ray curing resin on it, an ultraviolet ray is irradiated to cure the resin thereby forming a protection film. The light from a semiconductor laser is squeezed to a light having 1mum of beam diameter by a lens by the optical head so as to irradiate alternately several kinds of laser pulses with different power and pulse width. The reflectance varies from 30% to 18% in response to the irradiation condition and three kinds of stable reflectances are obtained depending on the three kinds of irradiation conditions. Thus, the recording density of the information on the optical recording medium is increased. |
