摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the focus detecting accuracy by extracting plural space frequency components relating to the outputs of a pair of photoelectric transfer element arrays and detecting the relative dislocation of an image from the phase differences of corresponding space frequency components. CONSTITUTION:A space frequency component extracting circuit 7 extracts the 1st electrical signal V1 expressing the 1st specific space frequency component of an optical image on the array 5 and the 2nd electrical signal V2 expressing the space frequency component of a space frequency half said signal V1 from relating electrical outputs v1-v8. The other space frequency component extracting circuit 8 is of the same constitution as the circuit 7, extracts the 1st and 2nd space frequency components on the optical image of the array 6 from relating electrical outputs v1'-v8' of the array 6, and generates the 1st and 2nd electrical signals showing the 1st and 2nd space frequency components. The 1st and 2nd electrical signals include two pieces of phase information phi1' and phi2' and two pieces of magnification information gamma1' and gamma2'. Thus plural pieces of information is compared to decide focusing, thereby executing the focus detecting at high accuracy.
