SELECTIVE SEPARATION OF COENZYME

PURPOSE:To selectively separate and recover only coenzyme from a solution containing coenzyme, by treating said solution with a semipermeable membrane having a sulfonic acid group. CONSTITUTION:Sulfonated polyaryl ether obtained by treating polyaryl ether with conc. sulfuric acid is dissolved in polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether and an additive such as lactic acid is added to the resulting solution to prepare a film forming solution which is, in turn, applied to an ultrafiltration membrane as a support and the solvent is subsequently evaporated to obtain a composite semipermeable membrane having a sulfonic acid group. For example, a liquid reaction mixture after enzymatic reaction is treated by using this membrane to selectively separate and recover coenzyme from the reaction mixture.
