PURPOSE:To enable correction of brightness component and color component by switching by dropout detection signals the original signal and a signal synthesized after delay of 1H of the brightness and color signals. CONSTITUTION:The color signal component is delayed by a color system 1H delay circuit 3 connected in parallel to a brightness system 1H delay circuit 1. Thus the band of a delay circuit 3 is equal to that of the color signals while the phases of the input and output of the delay circuit 3 are opposite to each other by relation of interleaving. By this, the signal synthesized from the brightness component of the delay circuit 1 and the color component of the delay circuit 3 is applied to a delay input terminal of a switch circuit 1. The dropout detection pulse is inputted to the switch circuit 2 which is switched from the original signal to the delay signal to make the dropout correction.
