PURPOSE:To rapidly and easily separate a muddy substrate into a solid and a liquid, by providing pore size difference to the pores of a filter made of a ceramic material and having heating current passing wires arranged to the periphery thereof. CONSTITUTION:A muddy substance is allowed to enter ceramic minute pores 2 with a minute pore size having difference between the inlet 21 and outlet 22 thereof and heated in the pores 2 by transferring heat to the pores from heating wires 4 by current supply heating. Whereupon, the liquid is evaporated and the surface of a solid is dried. Further, minute ceramic spheres are allowed to be present in the pores and vibration is applied to the heating filter by an ultrasonic wave to facilitate the mutual separation of solids and the precise shape classification of solid particles is enabled.
