PURPOSE:To obtain a phenolic resin molding material providing a high-strength molded article useful as parts for electrical appliance, etc., by blending a solid phenolic resin with phenolic resin varnish and cloth chip by Henschel mixer. CONSTITUTION:A solid phenolic resin having 70-80 deg.C softening point and 40-800 average molecular weight is blended with phenolic resin varnish (obtained by dissolving resol type phenolic resin or novolak type phenolic resin is solvent such as water, methyl alcohol, etc.) and cloth chip (e.g., glass fiber cloth, etc.) by a pressure kneader or blender and kneaded by Henschel mixer at >=80 deg.C material temperature for >=3min.
