PURPOSE:To enable a printing to be controlled with a simple hardware, by employing a first memory 13 transforming a printing data from the value of a counter designating the pin number to be extracted to a character to which dots corresponding to the wire pin belong, and a second memory 14 transforming a printing data therefrom to the position of the line and row in the character pattern to which the aforesaid dots belong. CONSTITUTION:Memories 13, 14 are provided wherein an information showing the position for the character to which dots corresponding to respective wire pins belong and an information showing the position of the dots in the character are prewritten with keys of the present position of a hammer bank, the number of wire pin and the number of the hammer unit to which this wire pin belongs. Key informations are outputted from a counter 6 to be transformed to the positional information with respect to the respective wire pins. A character code stored in a line buffer 2 is read by the positional information for the character. A character generator 15 is given the character code and the positional information for the aforesaid dots to read the printing information corresponding to the dots. This printing information is stored in a register 17 to drive a hammer driver 18 after the informations for the all wire pins are completed. |
