PURPOSE:To preclude the possibility of provision of distortion to a reproduced waveform by adopting the constitution with the 1st main magnetic pole recording a signal at the center of track, the 2nd main magnetic pole recording a signal to edges of track with a prescribed angle to the 1st main magnetic pole and an exciting coil. CONSTITUTION:An exciting core 11 is excited by flowing a high frequency recording data signal to an exciting coil 10 via a modulation circuit 4 and a recording amplifier 5 to form a magnetic path passing through the 1st and 2nd main magnetic poles 8, 9 and a data signal is recorded on a medium at the edge at the back of the 1st and 2nd main magnetic poles 8, 9. The recording data 13a, 13b have a tilt angle theta and only the data 13a is reproduced by the 1st main magnetic pole 8 at reproduction. Since the 2nd main magnetic pole 9 is formed thick, the data signals 13a, 13b being high frequency signals cannot be reproduced. Thus, the data 13b is recorded but cannot be reproduced, and the same effect as AC erasure is obtained and tunnel erasure is applied. Thus, no data track is reduced and no distortion is given to the reproduced waveform. |
