PURPOSE:To reduce the overall size of an engine by providing a vertical type cylinder and interlocking a governor provided on an overhead camshaft with a carburetor through a link. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 30 of an engine 14 is arranged in a vertical type. A mechanical governor 72 is provided on an overhead camshaft 40. A carburetor 92 is connected with the governor 72 through a link 102. Thus, the governor 72 approaches the carburetor 92, reducing the size of an interlocking mechanism between both and therefore the overall size of the engine.
