<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a public nuisance problem when a conventional corrosion inhibitor is used, by allowing an ion of a cerium group element to be present in a carbon dioxide absorbing solution as a corrosion inhibitor. CONSTITUTION:In an absorbing process for absorbing and removing carbon dioxide in gas by using an alkali metal carbonate solution, an alkanolamine solution or a solution mixture thereof as an absorbing solution, an ion of a cerium group element is allowed to be present in the absorbing solution. Herein, the cerium element means an element among rare earth elements not dissolved in an excessive amount of an alkali sulfate solution in the form of the R2(SO4)3. K2SO4 (wherein R is a rare earth element) type double salt thereof and La, Ce, Pr, Nd and Sm belongs thereto. This cerium group element is added to the absorbing solution as a nitrate or chloride solution and allowed to be present in an ionic state.</p> |
