PURPOSE:To both prevent the generation of damage in the point end part of a fuel injection valve and improve its durability, by coating a nozzle end part with a shield cap consisting of ceramics, cemented carbides, etc. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle main unit 1 coats its point end part over almost the full surface with a shield cap 7 being composed of different material from further independently manufactured of the nozzle main unit 1. WHile the shield cap 7, opening in its one part a cut part 7a to be cut corresponding to injection holes 4 provided in a point end of the nozzle main unit 1, enables fuel to be injected. The shield cap 7, using for its material cemented carbides or ceramics, uses ZrO2, Al2O3, Si3N4, SiC, etc. as the ceramics. In this way, the nozzle main unit 1, enabling its point end part to be coated with the material of remarkably excellent heat resistance and wearing resistance, can endure for use for a long time.
