<p>APPARATUS FOR CONTACTING A LIQUID WITH A GAS Apparatus for contacting a liquid with a gas, comprising a normally vertically extending column (1) having a plurality of substantially horizontal trays (2) arranged in the column (1) one above the other, each of the trays (2) being provided with apertures (3) for the passage of the gas and with at least one discharge device (4) for the liquid, the discharge device (4) being open at their upper ends, extending partly below the relevant trays (2) and being provided with bottoms (5) having liquid discharge openings (6), wherein a perforated structure (8) is arranged between each discharge device (4) of a tray (2) and a next lower tray (2), for distributing the liquid from the liquid discharge openings (6) of the discharge devices (4) over the next lower trays (2).</p> |
