The cargo pallet comprises base parts and transversal tubes, the base parts being produced from strip-form material coated with adhesive, and whose width is the same as the length of the base part. The strip material is firstly wound around a prim. spindle, pref. with rectangular cross-section, to form an inner first coil. Then, a sec. spindle is placed beneath the first coil and in contact with the lower surface fo the latter. The dimensions of the secondary spindle are such that, in company with the first coil, they complete the cross-sectional dimensions of the base part. The adhesive-coated material is then wound around the body formed by the first coil and the sec. spindle to form an outer second coil. The strip material is then severed and the spindles are removed. Holes are then cut to accommodate the forks of a stacker truck, such holes passing through the vertical wall sections of the first and second coil. |
