PURPOSE:To realize a low distortion factor and to make a good reproduction to a low sound range by flowing a reproducing signal current radially between the center of a disk made of an electrically conductive material and its periphery to cause it to rotate reciprocatingly in an uniform magnetic field, converting and enlarging this rotary reciprocating movement by a lever into a linear reciprocating movement, driving the diaphragm and generating sound. CONSTITUTION:The reproducing signal is applied to electrodes 20a, 20b so that the current flows radially from the center to the periphery or from the periphery to the center of the conductive disk 10. Since the magnetic field is produced in a magnetic gap 19 in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the conducting disk 10 so that a force proportional to the applied reproducing current is produced under the Fleming's left hand' rule to impart a rotational force to the conducting disk to effect reciprocating rotational movement in the directions shown by the arrow (a) and a'. A lever 12 secured to the rotary shaft 11 is also moved in the directions of (a), a' and such movement is transmitted through a driving arm 14 to a diaphragm 13 which then performs a vertical vibration to produce the sound. |
