PURPOSE:To attain the semiautomatic operations at a high speed for rewriting, deletion and insertion of the held contents of a memory, by providing a function to perform an automatic and local shift of the memory contents. CONSTITUTION:The digit designation data or the bit pattern data Dps which designates the digit contents is applied to a digit designating circuit AD and a comparison circuit CMP from plural wirings via a data transmission bus. The circuit CMP compares the bit patern of contents of the memory cell groups of the same digit with the bit pattern of the data designated from outside and designates the digits having the coincident bit patterns as a base point of shift. A switch circuit SSW desides whether the digit designation is carried out by the output of the circuit AD or the output of the circuit CMP and also activates the selected output. The output selected by the circuit SSW is sent to each memory cell MC. |
