PURPOSE:To eliminate the waste of the memory capacity by connecting optionally plural program patterns to obtain a program pattern of the optional length. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic means 1 such as a microcomputer, etc. compares the set value es produced by a program pattern stored in a memory 3 with an input signal ei through a setting means 2. Then the means 1 performs a PID operation, etc. and produces a control output signal e0. While the present set value, the measured value, etc. are displayed by a display means 4. The means 2 can store 10 types of program patterns of 8 steps, for example, into a memory 3 and furthermore connects optionally these program patterns to produce a long program pattern. Then the means 1 selects an optional one of plural program patterns and controls it.
