PURPOSE:To manufacture raw material for iron manufacture excelling in reducing properties by adding carbon material fines to the coarse grains of sintered ore and by carrying out mixing, pelletization and solidification. CONSTITUTION:The sintered ore discharged from a sintering machine 1 is cooled in a cooler 2 and screened through a sieve 3. The screened ore with about 10-20mm grain size is fed into a pelletizer 4, to which cement and coke breeze are supplied from hoppers 5, 6, respectively, so that pelletization is carried out with the simultaneous addition of necessary water 7. The sintered ore to which the coke breeze is sufficiently made to adhere by the pelletizer 4 is conveyed by a conveyer to hoppers 9 or a yard 10 and is stored there for curing until it solidifies. Then the pellets are screened through a sieve 12 and fed into a blast furnace through a conveyer 11. In this way, the effective utilization of carbon material fines and fine-containing carbon material which are so far limited in application can be attained.
