PURPOSE:To enable a commutator to be chamfered by an economical miniature device, by fitting a chamfering and indexing device with one driving source to the motor yoke of a DC motor via a mounting device. CONSTITUTION:A driving motor 30 with a reduction gear 31 is mounted on a frame 32. When a transmission shaft 37 is regularly operated by a driving motor 30, then a reciprocating table 42 is driven to be shifted in parallel with a commutator segment 11, and by a cutter 45 fitted on a cutter head 44 on the segment 11, the commutator segment 11 is chamfered. When the chamfering comes to an end, then the cutter head 44 is driven at a right angle to the shifting direction of the reciprocating table 42, and the cutter 45 escapes from the commutator segment 11 in return stroke. When the transmission shaft 37 is reversed by the driving motor 30, then a roller 53 is driven, and the roller 53 comes in contact with the outer periphery of the commutator segment 11, for dividing. |
