PURPOSE:To provide an external agent for skin, having synergistically promoted drug action of glycyrrhezin or its glycoside and having excellent anti- inflammatory effect, by compounding specific hydroquinone glycoside together with glycyrrhezin and/or its glycoside. CONSTITUTION:The objective external agent for skin, useful in various fields such as base cosmetic, makeup cosmetic, hair cosmetic, drug, quasi-drug, etc., can be produced by compounding (A) glycyrrhezin and/or its glycoside (the amount is preferably 0.1-5wt% of the whole external agent) with (B) a hydroquinone glycoside of formula (R is pentose residue, hexose residue, amino sugar residue, uronic acid residue or their methylated products) (especially preferably hydroquinone-beta-D-glucose, and its amount is preferably 0.1-30wt%, especially 6-20wt% of the whole external agent). |
