PURPOSE:To enable a fabric to be held positively with no damage made to the fabric allowing it to be laminated orderly on a fabric setting table by providing a drive mechanism where a pair of gripping members, each of which has a needle that is pointed to the opposite direction to that of the other party, is allowed to move to the opposite direction each other so as to allow the needle to hold and release the fabric. CONSTITUTION:A plunger 17 is lowered with an electromagnetic solenoid 16 energized, and link shafts 13 and 14 are allowed to move overcoming a coiled spring 21 to each of directions which is opposite in such a way that they are separated each other along guide members 15. This movement allows gripping members 8 and 9 to move to each of the directions which is opposite. This permits the pin of a gripping needle 12 of the gripping members 8 and 9 to pick up fibers of a fabric A allowing the pin to pierce into the fibers. Then the fabric A can be taken up. Subsequently, a fabric gripping device 3 is lifted up by an arm 2, and is moved to the stated position. Then, the plunger 17 is raised up by energy of the spring 21 with the electromagnetic solenoid de-energized allowing the gripping member 8 and 9 to move to each of the directions which is opposite. This allows the pin of the gripping needle 11 and 12 to be pulled out of the fabric A permitting the fabric to be released and laminated orderly. |
