PURPOSE:To enable sure disk clamping by moving a clamping mechanism directly interlocking with movement of a disk carrier. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a main body frame 1, a cartridge carrier 2 that holds a cartridge, a carrier driving mechanism 3 that operates the cartridge carrier 2 and a disk clamping mechanism that clamps the cartridge 4. The disk clamping mechanism 5 is attached pivotally to a pivot 503 of a clamp supporting plate 502 of a clamping stand 501 provided on the upper plate 202 of the cartridge carrier 2 to allow free oscillation. A clamp head 505 is held loosely by a clamp holder 506 at the tip of a clamp supporting arm 504. A cylindrical clamp operation end 507 is provided on another end of the clamp supporting arm 504. The clamp operation end is in sliding contact with the lower face of a clamp guide plate 508 fixed to the upper part of the main body frame.
